I’ve started a new series with the goal of helping students and families discover “Just 5 Colleges…” across a range of locations, majors offered, clubs and activities, sports, and admission difficulty.
Many have heard of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), but far fewer are aware of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the Illinois Institute of Technology (ITT), and/or the Colorado School of Mines.
Many have heard of Cornell University, but far fewer are aware of Colby College, Carleton College, Case Western Reserve University, and/or Centre College.
I want these lists to inspire, but more than that I want to push you all to dream big - certainly bigger than the U.S. News and other “rankings” (purposefully in air quotes) make the college world seem to be.
There are approximately 4,000 largely 4-year degree granting colleges and universities in the USA.
Let’s get to discovering more of these to help you find your best fit.
